These terms govern your use of CVWriter at cvwriter.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

CVWriter lets you import CVs (including PDFs), edit content, receive optional AI-powered suggestions, and export PDFs. Features may change as we improve the product. We provide the service on an “as is” basis during this early stage.

2. Accounts

You must sign in with Google to use authenticated features.
You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
You may not share accounts or use the service for unlawful purposes.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of CVs and files you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the service — including sending content to AI providers when you explicitly request AI features.

You confirm you have the right to upload any CV you submit. If you create or edit a CV for someone else, you must have their permission to store and process their personal data in CVWriter.

4. AI suggestions

AI output is advisory only. You are responsible for reviewing all suggestions before applying them.
We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability for a particular job application.
You must not rely on AI-generated text without verifying facts, dates, and claims.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload malware, illegal content, or material that infringes others' rights.
Attempt to breach security, scrape the service, or overload our systems.
Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
Use the service to spam, harass, or violate applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

6. Availability and changes

We strive for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or third-party outages may cause temporary unavailability. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

7. Fees

CVWriter is currently offered without charge. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will update these terms and communicate pricing before billing you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CVWriter and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or job opportunities arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if the service was free).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these terms or if required for legal or security reasons. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that should survive (including liability limits) remain in effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
